Newbie: Booting Linux from XP and then XP from Linux
So I boot back into Windows, and it seems okay. Then, about an hour in, it just reboots, for no apparent reason. Well, there actually was an apparent reason, I tried to post to Ars about how to fix it. It doesn't want to be fixed, so it booted me. I am completely out of ideas. I will try anything to fix this.

Perhaps unrelated, but for your info, using WinXP home with NSW2003 I also had Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.3. Uninstalled it and installed Roxio 6. Every bootup was safe mode. Finally figured out to disable GoBack from the startup screen and once that was done, I was able to boot back into the desktop.

XP cannot access files even in safe mode

I've gone into Computer Management/Storage and I can see the other partitions, but there are no assigned drive letters. I partitioned my hard drive and installed Windows XP Profesional. I can boot to Win 2000 any time, but I can't boot to Windows XP unless my last boot was to Win 2000. If I am in XP I can do a restart and it boots fine. But if I shut down from XP I can't boot back into it unless I do a full boot into 2000.
